DAISY, DAISY ... IT'S A TERRIFICALLY THRILLING THURSDAY! AT SHELLY'S IMAGES THIS WEEK!

Before I tell you about today's Terrifically Thrilling Thursday Challenge, I'd like to share a few changes  at Shelly's Images effective IMMEDIATELY!  

First and Foremost, we are switching our challenge time frame to TWICE A MONTH ...

Our challenges will now be offered on the 

1st and 3rd Thursday 

of each month.

Now onto today's challenge

and today's FEATURED IMAGE is "DAISY 1"

I decorated the lid of a gift box .....

To achieve this, I printed the image on DP with a pastel print :

Then I coloured the image using my alcohol markers, and used a white gel pen for the highlights.  To get the DP to fit the top of the lid perfectly, I applied glue to the lid, attached the DP to the lid, and used a carpenter's sanding block to trim off the excess.  I chalked the edges to soften the look.

As embellishments I used a generous raffia bow and a chippie key (thanks Jo!) that I coloured with my Copics.
