A 'TWEET' NEW RELEASE FROM A DAY FOR DAISIES

There is a beautiful new release from A Day for Daisies today, and it co-incides with a new challenge on the blog.

Here is my card with one of the new images, Birds in Little Hats:

I coloured the image using alcohol markers and a red glitter gel pen, and added a FEATHER  which is what the current challenge calls for, together with an A DAY FOR DAISIES image.
I also sewed on some sequins and beads.

Here is my feather:

THE OUTLAWZ GREETING CARD CHALLENGE

My card featuring the little origami kimono doll is a prototype for a workshop I will present on Saturday, and have entered it into the challenge at The Outlawz

The cute lil tag was created from an image of the Japanese translation of 'friend', and tie with some lilac cord.
I have since reworked the design of the little kimono and changed the papers to more vibrant colours, and this is the version we will make on Saturday:

THE OUTLAWZ CAS CHALLENGE

I recently got some more quilling supplies and so made this card for The Outlawz CAS challenge, where the theme was to use your favourite beverage.

The sentiment is digital.

A DAY FOR DAISIES NEW DT SHOWCASE

Today the new Design Team members for A Day for Daisies are making their official debut on the A Day for Daisies Blog, and although I was introduced last week I have my showcase project to share with you.

My card features the beautiful image called You May Kiss the Bride.

The image is layered onto digital newsprint and coloured the image with alcohol markers,  I used a white gel pen to add detail and texture to the dress:

The roses and foliage are diecuts, and the pearl beads are sewn on.

My card is made to introduce you to the new challenge "Add Newsprint", and you will find that challenge here.

Thanks for visiting me today, and I look forward to your entries into our challenge.
