OLDIE BUT GOODIE THURSDAY AT BUGABOO'S CATCH THE BUG BLOG

Every Thursday at Bugaboo's Catch the Bug blog we get to show you just how good the oldies still are!!!

I used an oldie, not as old as some of the other images, called Girlz - Flowers, yet one of my favourites and made this distressed shabby chic card:

I used the fabulous DP from a 6x6 pad as the inspirations for my colouring, that I did with alcohol markers:

Here is a better look at the image:

I added gorgeous brown lace and sewed on some sequins and seed beads for a little bling.  The silk ribbon is tied in a bow and a pearl and metal sun charm added.  The sentiment is a laser cut wooden plaque attached with the same silk ribbon.

I love the simplicity of this card, and although it is not quite CAS, it shows that shabby chic need not be overly fussy, and also proves that Bugaboo images can also be used for distressed and shabby chic cards.

I would like to add this card to the following challenges:

SIMON SAYS STAMP, ‘BiNGO’ (ribbon-free-blooms)
TUESDAY ALCHEMY, #26, ‘BINGO’ (ribbon-flowers-bling)
