MONDAY'S CHALLENGE AT THE OUTLAWZ

Today's challenge at The Outlawz is TRICK OR TREAT ... and entrants are asked to bring  a trick that you use in card making. Like a product, or tool you use to create something on your cards. Your shared trick is a treat for everyone!

Here is my entry:

The image featured on my card is STEAMPUNK SPIDER, an image I drew for Digistamps 4 Joy and our second entry into the CDAC DIGITAL DRAWING COMPEITION.
The image is not available in the store yet, but it will be release on Sunday, 14 October.

The image is colour using alcohol markers, and as part of the Outlawz Challenge requirement, my 'trick' is to use a white gel pen for highlighting and accents.  Here is a better view of the image:

To construct the rest of my card I used the following
black base card
round die cut for the window in the front
fussy cut image was attached to the front of the card using a black brad so that it could swing
the sentiment is my own, computer generated and cut out using a die
tiny shiny gems (to represent glistening dew drops) were added to the sentiment

For the inside of the card, I used the diecut that came out when I cut the window out of the front of the card, and used that as the base for my spider web that I sewed by hand.  There is CS inside the card and the web was attached onto it.

Some gems (dewdrops) were added to the web as well.

I hope you enjoy this card - I had such fun colouring the image, and making the card - something so totally 'out of the box' for me.  We all need to get out of our comfort zones once every so often!
