SCRAP-A-DOODLES DESIGN TEAM 2014 AUDITION

This post is my audition for a position on the Scrap-a-Doodles Design Team... I got all the information HERE.

For those of you that don't know, Scrap-a-Doodles is an exciting South African store (both online and brick and mortar) with over 17 000 products at amazing prices.  My new Silhouette Cameo was purchased there last week!

For my audition, I need to show at least three projects that I have created to  showcase my style, ability and versatility:

The first I would like to share is a card I made with one of my own drawings as a digistamp that was released yesterday :

I chose this project as it illustrates
my own drawing
my colouring using alcohol markers (Copics/Spectrum Noir/Graph'it and a white gel pen)
embossing/debossing
diecuts
hand sewn on sequins and beads (my crating signature)
More information on this card can be found here

The second project is a tag booklet featuring images from Bugaboo Stamps:

This illustrates that I do not only make cards, but am completely comfortable making 3D projects and booklets too.
More details on this project can be found here on my blog.

Next, I would like to share two vintage themed cards, made using Graphic 45 paper

Besides using alcohol markers, I have developed my own technique of colouring using regular colouring pencils and Odourless Mineral Spirits (Artists White Spirits) that give a depth of colour and blending in a no fail method.  This Triptych card showcases that technique:

This is technique I taught at the in2crafts workshops at HobbyX a few years ago.

In this project you will see more sewn on sequins and beads, inspired by my other craft passion, that of creating belly dance costumes to order:

I am holding thumbs that I will be selected as one of the lucky 10 selected!
