A dear friend is going through a rough patch right now, and I have made a card to let her know that I am thinking of her, and where she should be looking for strength.
The image is from a free colouring page I found online, and the colouring is Copics. A white gel pen was used for the detailing.
To create my card used the following from my stash:
white CS card base
blue textured CS diecut
sewn on flower sequins and seed beads
silver bead caps - flattened to form flowers
flat back pearls
satin ribbon and bow
peel off border
sentiment in a ticket
I have purposely kept the card without any raised embellishments, as this card needs to be posted.
I would like to add this card to the following challenges:

I am not sure what it is but there is a calming strength to this card. It made me feel very peaceful. Great work.

What a beautiful card to send to a friend who need a little external strength to help her get through the difficulties she is facing. We all need to be reminded that we have the capacity to be strong and the sentiment you have used lets her know the first place she should be turning for it. Wonderful layout and incredible colouring Jen. I'm so glad that you found my challenge and hope to see you again next month on the Path of Positivity.

ReplyDeleteWhat lovely colors and shading, Jen - so pretty. Your friend will enjoy this card so much - it's always nice knowing others are thinking of us through our hardships, and that they care enough to "be there" for us. Your little jewels and interesting ribbon look fabulous with your color choices. hugs, de
