TEATIME! The Outlawz' Creative Freebie Challenge

The teacup and saucer and the teapot are the free images provided for the current challenge, and here is my card:

The images are coloured using Copics, and a white gel pen for the highlights:

I used glittered DP for the background and an apricot coloured satin ribbon as a base for the crockery.  To add some interest, I sewed on some flower sequins and beads:

The tag was made from an offcut of the DP that I misted and inked the edges:

I think I might keep this card for my own stash, instead of donating it to charity - I LOVE the finished card, if I may say so myself!

"FOR UNTO US A CHILD IS BORN .."

This card represents the MAGIC OF CHRISTMAS to me, and without going into too much detail, I think the Magic started thousands of years ago, with the prophesy of the birth of our Saviour, Jesus Christ.  and it becomes so very real again every year at a church carol service, or when I watch a Nativity Play.

The images featured on my card are two that I drew myself, Nativity Silhouette (in the foreground) and Chapel Window (in the background).

I used the png versions of the images, sized and merged them to create a Christmas Scene  I used Copics to colour and a white gel pen to do some detailing.  The card is made according to the sketch offered in the Sketch Challenge at The Outlawz today, and the card will also be entered into Digistamps 4 Joy's "There's Something Magical about Christmas" Challenge which started today.

I have decided that I will not be sending out Christmas Cards this year, and the money saved on postage will be donated towards saving a rhino.  So this is my Christmas Card to all friends and family, with a wish :

The most precious gift of Christmas arrived in a very small bundle with no bow

May your Christmas be warm with love, blessed with joy, and bright with promise.

A CAS CHALLENGE AT JACKSON'S DIGITAL EXPRESSIONS

I have made a new year's greeting card using a Bugaboo Stamps image called Flower 2 from the Mini Set Spring to inspire you:

I coloured the image using alcohol markers and used a white gel pen to do some detailing:

The only embellishments I added were a length of white satin ribbon and a pretty pink fancy pearl.

The fancy pearls come in some really pretty colours : white, cream, pink, lilac, lavender ... and are available to order (South Africans only at this stage please) from me - please send me an email for the catalogue and prices.  I have very pretty flowers for sale too!

MONDAY'S GREETING CARD CHALLENGE AT THE OUTLAWZ

The theme over at the Outlawz Greeting card Challenge this week is to add a bear ... and in my opinion the cutest digi bears can be found over at Bugaboo Stamps, where I got the image featured on my card.  Meet Theodore ...

I coloured the image using alcohol markers and a white gel pen for the highlights.  I attempted to get a 'plushy' effect on Theodore's fur, and I added Stickles to the white fur lining on his hat and coat.  Perhaps it's visible better in this closeup:

I fussy cut the image, and mounted it on a diecut.  There are little silver sequins sewn on around the diecut.  The embellies I have used are red flowers and holly leaves which come from the range of embellishments that I sell. This was taken last month when she attended a Christmas Lunch for the Seniors at her church - where the theme was Country and Western.

Doesn't she look amazing for 78 years of age???!!
