A NEW SKETCH CHALLENGE AT LET'S SCRAP!

Wednesday's rolled around again, and it's time to share some inspiration for today's challenge at

Let's Scrap

This is the sketch provided, and you may choose to do a double or a single page layout, or even another papercraft projct such as a card, using the sketch.

I decided I needed to crawl out of my comfort zone as a cardmaker, and attempt a layout... so this is my first 12x12 single page layout using photographs:

The photographs were taken in Namaqualand last year when my mom visited the wildflowers, that you see depicted in  the second photograph (I set myself the task of trying to recreate the embellishment flowers)

Keeping in line with the sketch, I added three 'tickets':

I used four different papers for my layout (the 'a breath of fresh air' strip is from the bottom part of the plaid paper)

A couple of foliage dicuts and some white flat back pearls (in the scallops) were added too.

All in all, I am satisfied with my first attempt at scrapping a page ... now I don't feel so intimidated by that HUGE 12x12 area to fill!

Now if this hardened cardmaker of over 20 years can finish a layout, so can you .... and just by entering you could be the winner of a fabulous sponsored prize!
