BUGABOO STAMPS :" THINKING OF YOU"

I have made a card with one of my favourite Bugaboo Stamps, 'Make it Snappy - Thinking of you'

 

I recently won a challenge on our RSA (Rubberstamping-South Africa) Yahoo group and one of the prizes was a packet of these really beautiful paper paper strips in gorgeous metallic shades, and that's what prompted me to use this colour palette. They are something I have never tried before and I had real fun using them!  The image is coloured using various alcohol markers (I have Copics, Spectrum Noir, Nellie Snellen and Pantone) and the highlights are made using a white gel pen.

I covered the raindrops in Glossy Accents and the umbrella in a great glitter glue that is exactly the right colour - what luck! 

Here's what I did to make the umbrella look all puffy : I added a little too much glitter glue so the cardstock started to bulge, and then to dry it off I used the hairdryer on a higher heat setting and whilst blowing on the back, I 'coaxed' that area out so that it bulged a little more and stayed that way.  hey - I think I just invented a new technique - by mistake! LOL!

Another bit of luck was that I found the perfect colour in a DP offcut!  A beautiful satin ribbon bow is the only embellishment.
