TUTORIAL WEDNESDAY AT BUGABOO STAMPS

On the last Wednesday of the month we share an easy tutorial with you at Bugaboo Stamps' Catch the Bug blog.

Today,  I share an easy way to 'chalk' your diecuts for that finished and professional look, without having to g to the expense of buying numerous colours of those costly chalks.

For this tutorial I have used Dilbert Duck, from the Bugaboo Stamps store.

BTW : this technique will work with stencils as well as on the edges of  cardstock too.

Thanks for dropping by!

ANYTHING BUT A CARD AT BUGABOO STAMPS

My ABaC Monday DT project for  Bugaboo Stamps is this Bible bookmark I made featuring the image called Hope Anchors your Soul - Boy, that I coloured using alcohol markers:

To make my Bookmark I design the basic shape of the bookmark n MS Word, and digitally textured and coloured the background.
On top of that I digitally layered the png versions of the image and sentiment, before they were coloured.

The ribbon and cord as threaded through a hole that I punched in the top.

A PHOTO INSPIRATION CHALLENGE AT BUGABOO STAMPS

There's a new challenge today at Bugaboo Stamps, and there's a photograph  to inspire you.

This is how I was inspired:

by this photograph:

(I was inspired by the sunflowers)

To create my card, I printed the sentiment and the image called Flower Jar from the Bugaboo Stamps store, onto kraft-like cardstock, and coloured it using alcohol markers, a white gel pen and Glossy Accents.

The edges were distressed and I used a brown cs mat.

The embellishments are baker's twine and a button.

MINI SWEET TREAT BOX

I run a small monthly creative papercrafts workshop in Durban, South Africa, and on 2 May we will be making this BOX, as one of the six projects I have planned.

To create it I designed this box, made from 20cm x 20cm blue cardstock.  I have a piece of pattern paper on the from and back, as well as a sentiment printed onto cream cardstock.  It is decorated with two x 3 layer diecut flowers with pearl centres.

The top of the box has been punched and has a ribbon holding it closed.

BLACK AND WHITE, 3X3

I run a small monthly creative papercrafts workshop in Durban, South Africa, and on 2 May we will be making this card, as one of the six.

To create it I used a 1½" circle punch to cut 8 circles of black and white patterned paper, as well as a round sentiment.

They were popped up on foam blocks in a 3 x 3 pattern, onto black cardstock with the corners rounded.  I used a white cs base.

I am sure my ladies will enjoy making it, as it is quick, easy, and will be great for both men and women alike.
