A PROUD ANNOUNCEMENT

I am proud to announce that I have been selected for a second DT term at Let's Scrap!!!  I simply love the wonderful friendships I have formed there and the tutorials are so helpful!  There are soooooooo many layout and card sketches to choose from, and to me, it's particularly enjoyable to make a card using a sketch for a single or double page layout!

This card is my DT application project, and is made according to sketch    1-1-14 for the challenge that started today.

To create this card I used Graphic 45 paper as a start - the violet card provided the inspiration for the colour palette and the rest of the papers and embellishments I used.  I distress cut by hand, chalked the edges, and matted on kraft CS.

Then I found some free sheet music on the www printed it onto cream CS and attempted to get it to look the same as the lilac card by matting  kraft CS, scoring, inking and using Copics colouring:

I then found a free image of violets on www and coloured it using Copics and Graph'It markers, to match the colours of the violet card :

To complete the card, I used an offcut of Bo Bunny paper, some more kraft CS mats, washi tape, hand sewing, diecuts and sewn on flowers beads and sequins:
