A NEW CHALLENGE AT BUGABOO'S "CATCH THE BUG" BLOG
The new challenge at "Catch the Bug" is Let's Get Punchy.
As I am a Guest Designer for Bugaboo for September and October, I get to play alongside the Design Team, a group of really awesomely talented crafters! and I am having such fun!
The card I made for this challenge uses two digistamps, called Flower Trio and Flamingo - water, plants. (As I usually do in my posts, I add a list of really useful links for you at the end of my post so check it out there, please.)
This is my card:
The images were coloured using Copics, and highlighted with a gel pen. The embellishments are some sparkly lilac gems (not all of them sparkle so well in the photograph, but IRL they do!). The corners are rounded using my corner rounder punch, and the lacy border at the base of my card is made using a die.
The Bugaboo stamps are just the greatest fun to use on your projects, and the Bugaboo store is a maze of departments, each with its own category. It's almost impossible to walk away from the store without ooh-ing and aah-ing and limiting your spending to stay within budget! (and I even saw a freebie or two there - so there's no excuse not to enter the challenge, but remember - respect the Angel Policy and don't share!)
We all have some punches we have forgotten we had, so now is the time to get them out to use on a project to enter the challenge. The prizes up for grabs are so generous, and well worth trying out for.
Here are those handy links I mentioned earlier:
To visit the Bugaboo stamps online store, click HERE
To visit the Bugaboo "Catch the Bug" blog from where you can enter the challenges and lots more, click HERE
To join the Bugaboo group on CDAC, click HERE
To join the Catch the Bug group on PCP, click HERE
I hope you like my card and it inspires you to enter the challenge too! I'd love it if you left me a comment or two...

..... a Terrifically Thrilling Thursday, that is.
We Have A Fabulous Challenge For You, Today, And
Some Fabulous Eye Candy For Your Viewing Pleasure!
Our Challenge Theme For You, This Week Is......
Vacation Memories
And This Week's Featured Image Is Island Life:
and this is the card I made :
I edited the stamp to look like a postage stamp and coloured the image using copics. As embellishments I made a wire palm tree and added some seeds made into beads as the coconuts. A length of raffia tied around the card, seemed to just finish it off I think.

CDAC DRAWING CHALLENGES - SEPTEMBER'S " Two legs or four"
September's digital drawing challenge theme on Crafters Digital Art Center is "Two legs or four" and this is my second entry:

DIGISTAMPS 4 JOY CHALLENGE : THE COLOURS OF FALL
In the Southern Hemisphere Spring is just around the corner, but those of you living in the Northern Hemisphere are experiencing the beautiful COLOURS OF FALL ... so that's what our challenge is all about ...
The COLOURS OF FALL - and we'd like you use the colours of fall for your creation that doesn't necessarily need to be Fall-themed.
And this is the card I created for your inspiration :
The colours of Fall are also the colours of Africa, my continent, and so I created a card with a very African theme. There are two images from the Digistamps 4 Joy store used here, and I created a single file line of ladies, as can often be seen in the rural parts of Africa, when the ladies go down to the river to collect water and firewood.
The card is coloured using Copics and the highlights are made using a white gel pen. It does look as if the images are clear heat embossed, but this is not so. My embellishment is a guinea fowl feather and a raffia bow.
One random winner will be chosen (random.org) to win 3 images of choice from the store.
We will then have a DT's choice award. This award will go to the card / project that we vote to be our favourite (and must be a digistamps4joy image). This winner will receive a $6 gift voucher to spend in the store. We hope that there will be an entry (or two) using a Digistamps 4 Joy image, as there wasn't one in the previous challenge.
You do not need to use a Digistamps4Joy image to win, but we’d love it if you do!
We will choose 2 runners-up who we feel deserve a spot in the top 3.
Here are some handy links for you:
Head on over to the challenge blog by clicking HERE to see the other fabulous creations by the Digistamps 4 Joy Design Team, and for more information on the challenge.
You stand the chance of winning images just by entering your project.
Click HERE to go to the DIGISTAMPS 4 JOY STORE to do your shopping (there may even be a freebie there for you to snag!)
I will also enter this card into the Friday's Copics Challenge at The Outlawz where the challenge is to used feathers.

I was nicknamed “Globug” about 30 years ago and it stuck! Hence, the name of my blog, Globug Ideas. I was born and raised in Ottawa, Ontario, where I still live with my wonderful husband, Peter. My mom, two awesome kids and three amazing teenaged grandchildren complete my little family. I am a communications consultant, but lately, I am spending less and less time consulting and more and more time making cards! The day I discovered digital stamps was my very LUCKY day! I love everything about digital stamps! I am truly thrilled to be part of the MMSC Design Team! I love a good challenge and MMSC offers just that! Okay, so with the all that out of the way, let’s get to work on our masterpieces!

Here is this week's Sketch and my creation using a Doodle Pantry image:
I coloured the image using Copics and added some highlights using a white gel pen. The embellishments are some sunflowers which I feel compliment the image perfectly and the background papers are autumnal colours, just right for the colour scheme of the card! The swirls are sewn on gold-coloured beads, and the stickers complete the creation.
Scroll back up and have another look at one of the prizes you could win, just by entering, and then scroll back up to have ANOTHER look at that BIG prize ... (you need to become a follower of the MMSC blog for that.
Now that you know what you have to do, why are you waiting?
