I needed to make a sample of a fairy card with a gift card holder on the inside, as a sample for a client. As I didn't have a suitable tutorial, I had to play around with sizes and techniques, and this is the finished sample:
The digital stamp featured on my card is from The Paper Shelter, called Make a Wish - and I used Copics to colour her.
On the outside of my card I used the following :
white CS card base
mini floral print DP - inked edges
pink CS mat
white ribbon
flatback pearl corner
silver peel-off sentiment
hand sewn on sequins and beads
For the inside and the gift card holder section I used :
offcut of the DP matted onto pink CS
pink cs mini doiley diecut
large pink gem
small satin ribbon bow
I needed to hide a join in the card base, so I added a pink CS punched border and an offcut of the DP.
The gift card slot was cut by hand.
I hope this sample is girly enough and if the client is satisfied with this sample, I will have to re-create this card in the colours of her choice.
