TUESDAY'S NEW RELEASE AT BUGABOO STAMPS

Tuesday's the day that Bugaboo stamps has a new release or two ... or more... and today's is really a cutie - a leprechaun  perfect for St Patrick's Day!

Here is my leprechaun card :

Don't you just want to pinch those cheeks?!

I coloured the image using alcohol markers and then did some highlighting with a white gel pen.  here is a better look at the image:

To make up my card, I added a traditional Irish blessing as the sentiment.

Two of the corners of my card are punched - I added gems to the top corner and some green and gold cord from BLUEBERRY BEAR to the bottom corner.  I also used a green CS mat on a white base card.

DIGISTAMPS 4 JOY :: NEW RELEASE :: MY NEW SPECS

Here is another of the Digistamps 4 Joy new releases available in the store, and this one is called 'MY NEW SPECS, another of my drawings available as a digistamp.

I made  card with the image called "MY NEW SPECS' 

I coloured the image using alcohol markers and a white gel pen, Glossy Accents on the specs and cut it out using a fancy die.

To make up my card I used the following from my stash

white CS card base

brown CS card mat

flatback pearls

a spray of roses and rose buds

pink satin ribbon bow

I added a single word "LOOK" as a sentiment, as it is the first word of the actual sentiment, a declaration of LOVE that you can read on the inside of the card:

REMEMBRANCE ...a CAS Challenge at The Outlawz

Today's CAS Challenge at The Outlawz is to  Create a CAS card/project that celebrates or honours someone in your life who is dear to your heart (a person from your past or present).  It can be for them or inspired by them. 

You can't begin to imagine how much this theme means to me this week.  My card celebrates my dad, who would have turned 83 on Valentine's Day.  My mom, who is starting to pack up our home that she shared with my dad for 52 years, gave me this photograph.  It shows my dad, proudly driving his first car and my mom, outside my grandparents' home.  My dad was a diesel motor mechanic, loved cars and after he retired turned to woodworking and wood turning.  The photograph represents my dad's love of cars and his lifetime love (my mom), the hammer charm is representative of his love of woodwork, and the little charm at the top reads "made with love" - that is for all the wonderful little woodworking projects I still have in my home that are a constant reminder of how much I have missed my dad, every day since he passed away, nearly 16 years ago.

I miss you dad, and love you still ....

DIGISTAMPS 4 JOY :: NEW RELEASE :: BEACH HUT

It’s time to share another of the Digistamps 4 Joy new releases with you, and this one is called BEACH HUT, another of my drawings available as a digistamp.

I made motivational card with the beach hut image, and added another Digistamps 4 Joy image, "Shy".  Because both these images are available in png format, sizing and merging is so very simple to do.

I coloured the image using alcohol markers and a white gel pen.  I used the beach hut image and copied, sized and pasted it several times to create the little row of beach huts going of into the distance.The sentiment is a quote I found in a book of inspirational sayings.

To make up my card I used the following from my stash

natural cork for the background - I distressed the edges

paper flowers from BLUEBERRY BEAR

two twine bows
