ANYTHING BUT A CARD AT BUGABOO STAMPS

On Mondays we get to show you that the images at Bugaboo Stamps re so versatile and can be used on non-card projects, such as my altered notebook here:

The wire bound notebook had a cover that just called out to be altered, so I used the Bugboo image called AVA HEART and printed onto textured beige cardstock, and then coloured her using Copics, a white gel pen, Stickles on her wings and Glossy Accents on the hearts

I added a quote as a sentiment and a big gem for a little bling.

HOPPY EASTER

I used a free colouring page image from the internet to create this card:

It's coloured using Copics and I used Stickles on the bunny's tummy, tail and on the Easter eggs in the basket

I used a corner punch on the corners of the white CS, dark pink CS mats, pink DP and a handmade flower made partly from the offcuts of the envelope punch board.

Thanks for visiting!

PHOTO INSPIRATION CHALLENGE AT BUGABOO STAMPS

It is time for our newest challenge AT BUGABOO STAMPS which is a photo inspiration.

Don’t forget the photo serves as a a prompt to get your creative juices flowing.   Your project need not be an exact copy of the picture below but can be anything that comes to mind when you see the picture!

Here is my card inspired by the photograph

The Bugaboo image on my card is called Lion Topper and it's coloured using Copics

The image is fussy cut and pasted onto a diecut circle of kraft card onto which a strip of washi tape has been stuck.

I printed some of the lyrics of the lyrics of The Circle of Life, as a circle sentiment around the image.

Black CS is used as a mat, and a raffia wrap and bow are the only embellies.

Te rules of the challenge are simple :  Create a photo inspired project and post a link to it on Bugaboo Stamps  challenge blog, Catch the Bug,  by 3/29/14 at  6:00 AM EST to be entered a random drawing for three digi prize packs –ten ( 10) (using Bugaboo only) seven (7) or four (4), using any image!

BLACK WHITE AND SILVER 21st CARD

I made a black, white and silver 21st card today:

To create this card I used MS Word Art to print the word "TWENTY".
The hole for glitter peel off puffy "1" was made with  die.

The embellishments are
3 gem
1 silver key charm
silver cord bow

The inside of the card has a black CS layer on which the "1" is mounted, and I added a "2", although that is invisible when the card is closed

'NO LINES' TECHNIQUE - MY INTERPRETATION

I have long admired so many cards with images coloured with the 'no lines' technique and decided to give it a try.  At this point I must admit that I use Copics, Spectrum Noir, Promarkers, Letraset Pantone and Graph'It alcohol markers  all together on the same image . .. and it works for me despite the recommendations not to mix brands.  I haven't watched any colouring tutorials and when I started building my collection of markers I experimented and came up with my own techniques.

Whoopi Goldbery once remarked that it never occurred to her parents to teach her that there would be some things she couldn't do..... And so it was with the 'no lines' technique - I saw it done and thought "I can do this!"

Here is the result:

The image Thanks! is My Mo Manning and here is a closer look:

I probably broke a few 'rules' and didn't follow the right procedure, but I love the final product.  I think next time I may print the lines a little lighter.

To create my card, I used the following from my stash:

white CS card base
two colours of blue CS for the mats
assorted blue pearls
heart shaped pearl bead
assorted ribbons
glittered number - self adhesive
peel off sentiment
