As a papercrafts teacher I often get asked how to tie the perfect bow, as this is something many crafters really find difficult to do. Now while I can tie one with my eyes closed, I realise I needed to come up with a better solution, and here is that answer, and a little 'how-to' ...
Step 1
cut 4 pieces of satin ribbon (it doesn't really matter about the width)
1 x 15cm
2 x 7cm
1 x 5cm
Step 2
Step 3
Step 4
Step 5
Step 6
How easy is that!?
You might want to make a a whole bunch of these while sitting in front of the tv, or whilst waiting for the kids to come out of school. A couple in every colour, so that they will be ready and waiting for the perfect project!
You can see the bow I made on my card, that features the Bugaboo image called
I hope you'll give it a try!

Great tutorial! Now, if I could just find someone who could tell how to tie a bow with baker's twine without the loops twisting when I pull the tails to make the loops smaller! Thank you for the tutorial! ~ Andrea
ReplyDeletePinch the knot and twist the tails as you pull them, Andrea - it works for me.
