THE OUTLAWZ CHALLENGES : SUNDAY CAS CHALLENGE : 6 November

This week your challenge is...

a "Mission Embossible"!

This "mission" requires you, the world's top CAS Agent, to use embossing on your CAS project. Wet, dry, machine or by hand...
the embossibilities are endless :)

My entry for this challenge uses a Bugaboo image called Sassy Gal Christmas, available in the Bugaboo store HERE

She was coloured using Copics and a white gel pen, fussy cut and layered onto a dry embossed background. The image was painted onto watercolour paper (really absorbent) before colouring. The embossing is also on watercolour paper. I love the winter white colour of this paper, as well as the fact that using the Copics on watercolour paper is a challenge all on its own! The Copics in just wants to soak in and spread way beyond the borders of the image but the intensity and depth of colour you get is so worth the effort.

Remember...no mission is too embossible for The Outlawz!

If you would like to join in the Outlawz Challenges, a new one every day, click HERE.

I will also enter this card into the following challenges :
Dream Valley Challenges "Anything Goes"

ANOTHER REASON TO CELEBRATE FRIDAYS - FREEBIE FRIDAYS AT "CATCH THE BUG"

Bugaboo Stamps' generous and superwoman, Jodie, the designer of the uber-cute images, has another freebie for you today on the Catch the Bug Blog!

And I'd like to add that we're only 4, yes that's FOUR, away from 1000 followers on the CATCH THE BUG BLOG!!! Isn't that great? If you're not a follower, please hop along there by clicking HERE and then becoming a follower, so that we can get to the magical 1000 TODAY!

Today's freebie image is "Male Nurse" and this is what I made with it! Isn't this just the perfect image for a get well card for a male?

As I want it to be a get well card for a male, I decided to go for straight lines and not too many embellishments. I coloured using Copics in shades of blue and highlighted with a white gel pen.

As usual, here are the handy links:

YAY - FRIDAY - A NEW RELEASE DAY AT A DAY FOR DAISIES

Being away from home was the worst last week cos I missed my weekly ADFD 'fix'!

But here I am, back again, to share with you one of the new releases that the awesomely talented Tammy has for us all. She has called them "VINTAGE SEASONAL FUN" and this is my card using the image called "Angel Costume"

I went for a pretty much monochromatic look and attempted to get the little wings to match the ribbon. The colouring is done using copics and a white gel pen, and I added some Twinkles to add to the sparkly effect. The corners are made using a MS corner punch.

This week's new releases are based on some old Christmas illustrations from the 1900's. I adore vintage illustrations! Be sure to check out Novembers New CLUB Kit (charmingly vintage) too! In addition, ADFD BLOG is bursting this week with new projects from the DT and our new challenge! There is such a lot to see, so be sure to check it out and play along!

DIGISTAMPS 4 JOY CHALLENGEW #31 : "With Gratitude"

Here we are back again with the new challenge. For those of you in the US, and for those of you who aren't, in other words, all of us need to say "thank you" so often.
And that is what our challenge is all about:

Create a papercraft project that expresses your gratitude. It can be for any occasion whatsoever, but it must have a sentiment expressing gratitude on the front.
If you enter a papercraft project using a non-Digistamps 4 Joy image, you will get one entry into the random draw.

BUT

If you use a Digistamps 4 Joy image on your entry, you triple your chances of winning .... you get THREE entries into the random draw! Now isn't that a bonus!?!

One random winner will be chosen (random.org) to win 3 images of choice from the store.

We will then have a DT's choice award. This award will go to the card / project that we vote to be our favourite (and must be a digistamps4joy image). This winner will receive a $6 gift voucher to spend in the store. We hope that there will be an entry (or two) using a Digistamps 4 Joy image, as there wasn't one in the previous challenge.

You do not need to use a Digistamps4Joy image to win, but we’d love it if you do!
We will choose 2 runners-up who we feel deserve a spot in the top 3.

Challenge Rules
You can use any image for the challenges. See above.
You have two weeks to enter the challenge.
You may enter a maximum of three (3) entries per DIGISTAMPS 4 JOY challenge.
Your entry must be new. No backlinking to previous posts.
Please link back to Digistamps 4 Joy blog.
Projects that do not follow the theme will not be entered into the draw.
Please use the Inlinkz to link to your CARD/ PROJECT only, please don't link to your entire blog.
You may combine this challenge with other challenges.
If you don't have a blog then please load your card/project into the gallery on the website, and link to that.

The most important rule, however, is to have fun!

Here is my creation for your inspiration ...

It's that time of year in South Africa again where the school year is coming to an end, and the schoolkids will be buying their teachers some pretty cards.

The image was coloured using Copics and a white gel pen after being printed on white watercolour paper. I used a red cardstock as a mat and red stain ribbon and gold glitter stars as embellishments.

YIPPEE! ANOTHER NEW RELEASE FROM BUGABOO

Unless you've been living under a rock (and I certainly hope that's not the case because it's dank, dark, and seriously depressing when you have to share the remote with icky little roly-poly bugs), you've probably noticed that Bugaboo Stamps' new Make It Snappy images are this season's must-have collection - Particularly Merry Christmoose which has been the Top Seller in our store almost since it's release. Huh, how 'bout that? Could lightning strike the same place twice??? Today's new release is Make It Snappy | Christmas, and I guess we're going to find out. . .;)

Isn't that kitty-cat just fabulous??!!

If you'd like to see the other Design Team creations using this same image, click RIGHT HERE and then from there you'll be able to link to the store, blogs, tutorials, challenges, etc!

I would love to see what you create with this fun image!
