~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Here is this week's Sketch and my creations:
For my card, I used a Priscillastyles image, coloured using Copics, and fussy cut before attaching it to a Cuttlebug embossing folder. The sprig of flowers by Petaloo is coloured using blue food colouring and dried using a heat gun so that it started to scorch somewhat, creating an antique look to match the image.
For my 3D project, I crocheted a cellphone pouch in white cotton thread to which I added two Petaloo crocheted flowers which I left the original white to match the crochet cotton.
What wonderful products the Petaloo Color me Crazy flowers are - as you can see, you can colour them or leave them as is!
Now it's your turn to create something! While you're busy with your MMSC project, create something for the Petaloo Challenge too - there are AWESOME prizes to be won for both challenges!
MARVELOUS MONDAY AT SHELLY'S IMAGES
HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY TO ALL MY AMERICAN FRIENDS!
Today at Shelly's Images we are also celebrating MARVELOUS MONDAY!!! We LOVE Mondays here at Shelly's Images because this is the day we get to showcase something FAB and funky that is in the SI STORE! Today we are sharing Shelly's Images Carnations digital stamp - for one day only - at a discounted price! (You get two images for the price of one with this purchase. One image is with the stars and stripes ribbon and the other has a blank ribbon) So after you check out what my talented DT friends have created with today's featured digi below, be sure to head over to the SI STORE for a look! You'll be so glad you did!
This is what I made with the image:
This is my carnations card. I was inspired by a factory printed notelet (now out of print) that had three galvanised buckets of lavender standing side by side. It was really so pretty and I can't understand why they discontinued it.
I coloured the images using Copics, and cut out each one individually, popped them up on some foam sticky squares onto a Cuttlebug embossed sheet of white cardstock.
Thanks for looking, and before I allow you to leave my page, I'd like to share some useful links with you :
FRIDAYS mean .... A DAY FOR DAISIES NEW RELEASES!
BUGS! BUGS! BUGS!..........AND THESE ARE JUST THE CUTEST!
This is the card I made :
My main image is coloured using Copics, and is inside the card. As the image portrays FUN - I decided to go for rainbow colours in the stripes, rather than the conventional ones and think that it worked!
The outside of the card features the two bee images also coloured in the rainbow stripes, and they interlock to hold the card closed.
The images you see above are not the only new releases today, there are a few more sets, just as beautiful as this one! Click HERE to see them all.
Or click HERE to go to the A DAY FOR DAISIES ETSY STORE.
