SIGNS OF SPRING IN SOUTH AFRICA

Bugs are buzzing, flowers are blooming .... and hayfever is affecting me!

But after the weekend's rain, everything is looking fresh and green.

My card today celebrates SPRING!!!
and I have entered it into The Outlawz Greeting Card challenge today.

The featured image is Scene it -Ladybugs from Bugaboo Stamps
and it's coloured using my alcohol markers

I used Glossy accents on the ladybugs.

To create my card I used the following:

white cs base
green cs mat

The sentiment is a plastic 'belly band' that came around some coasters I purchased - it seemed to be something that would come in useful - I feel great that it could be repurposed/recycled into my craft.

I also used an offcut of red gingham dp, and a ladybug button tied with an offcut of ribbon.

ANYTHING BUT A CARD AT BUGABOO STAMPS

My luminary features the bugaboo image called Halloween Silhouette Scene, that I printed onto tracing paper (similar to vellum)
.
It was pasted behind an svg cut of a window frame.

The photograph above shows it in daylight, and the pic below is taken in the dark (spooky?)

The sides and back are woodgrain dp:

Thanks for popping by today.

MERRY CHRISTMAS

Just getting some more Christmas cards made, and so I decided to merge some of the Bugaboo penguins:

I coloured the images using alcohol markers, and fussy cut them.

The white cs base card was dry embossed, and I glued on some shiny sequins.

The sentiment is from Hannelie - Desert Diva and I used it on a flag.

FLORAL HEART

To create my card I started off by punching a whackload of flowers from blue, yellow, pink and orange cs offcuts.

I printed the sentiment from Hannelie, Desert Diva, onto the cs base and then stuck the flowers on in the shape of a heart.

that's it - card done!

STAMPING WITH BLEACH

I love paying with this technique, as the outcome always seems to be like magic when the bleach starts working and the wonderful NEW colours appear!

To make my card I used orange cs, a kiddies' foam flower stamp and bleach to create the background.

After cutting it to size to use for the card, I fussy cut one of the flowers from the offcut and did some doodling with a black fineliner.

The leaves were made by spritzing bleach onto green cs, before I drew the leaves freehand and then fussy cut them.

The sentiment is a freebie I picked up over at Create with TLC.
