“Digistamps 4 Joy was born in July 2010. What began as a “brainwave” developed into a rather successful journey…  Started by Mel M, and with the help of talented artists and fellow South Africans JenLee, Margy, Sam, Laura and Mel herself, Digistamps 4 Joy was soon reaching an international audience.  Digistamps was a rather unheard of and new craft to many South Africans with most only having access to them if they had a credit card.  Mel and Jen started brainstorming and soon came up with the idea of starting an online store entirely accessible to all South Africans.  Mel having the experience in web and graphic design, and Jen being a wonderful illustrator work together as a team and produce most of the images many people around the world have come to know and love.  Among the many images, you’re sure to find something you like… from fun and whimsical to cute and funny right through to serious and beautiful. Every month a new freebie is available on the website.”

 Prize includes

12 x 6”x6” sheets patterned and plain paper

2 x midi stencils

4 x packs different pearls

2 x pkts assorted gems

2 x pts of 10 brads

2 x paper pieced embellishments

Thank you so much for your wonderful Prize Mel :)

Lindy's Stamp Gang is a home-based family business. Created by Lindy Plakinger in 1995 to have an outlet for all the fabulous cartoons running around in her mind. Lindy's Stamp Gang has grown to encompass so much more! In late 1998 she created the first sprays to color your stamping and scrapbooking world.  These products have grown to encompass hundreds of colors, have inspired similar spray products and have become her signature with their deep rich color and generous shimmer!   Sadly, Lindy is no longer with us, but Lindy's Stamp Gang will continue as was her hope and dream. Her husband and daughter took things over and hope to keep her creativity alive through her products.
Lindy lived every day to its fullest and we will always remember her smile, infectious laughter, spunk, sparkle and creativity! So enjoy her products that all contain a little of that laughter and sparkle!

Thank you so much for this AWESOME PRIZE Tracey

Here is this week's Sketch and what I created when I rotated the sketch :

The image is from Digistamps 4 Joy, one that I created for the store and named "Mel waving hi". I have had the cute little mouse in my stash for a couple of years now and was looking for an excuse to use it and here it is!

I used my coloured pencils and OMS, and matted the image onto some lilac metallic cardstock. The yellow zig-zag trim is a small length that was given to my by my mum last weekend, and the roses are from my stash. That gorgeous yellow batik paper is from a paper distributor that has opened a little retail store not far from me... YIPPEE YAY!

Why not hop on over to the Digistamps 4 Joy store now to see the other fabulous images Mel has for you?

And then you can join us in the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge #93 this week by clicking here ...

Those two prizes are awesome ... and you can't win it if you're not in it!

This is probably the last posting on my blog for this week as tomorrow morning I am off to Hobby-X in Johannesburg (600 kilometres away from my home in Durban), to teach 9 workshops on my own technique of colouring stamped images. I will be spending time with my dear friends Jewels, and Mel, the owner of Digistamps 4 Joy, whom I have never met in person, although we have been online friends for some years now.

I hope to get LOTS of inspiration there, shop up a storm, and .. oh yes .... buy my Cuttlebug that I ordered after I "killed off" my Spellbinder Wizard.

Watch out Joburg ... HERE I COME!

Have a creative week ... and keep mo and jo together!

Love
Jen
