CDAC "INSPIRATION" CHALLENGE

One of the new challenges over on CDAC is the Inspiration Challenge .... and this is the photograph to be used for inspiration for an entry:

and this how the photograph inspired me :

The image and sentiment featured on my card are a set by Bugaboo Stamps called Ruby - Tidbits - Coffee

I used the sentiment on the outside of my card and placed it in a speech bubble.  There is a strip of washi tape down the side.  A round die was used to cut a window in the front.

This card has two folds, and the Ruby image was printed on the right hand side (inside).  I coloured the image using alcohol markers, according to the inspiration colour for the challenge.

Challenge #3 - Anything Goes - It Is Time To Kraft

Our sponsor this week is

who have generously offered the prize of 7 images of the winner's choice!  Yay!  How wonderful is that!

So, that being said, allow me to show you my card with a Bugaboo image called KITCHEN - CHICKEN SOUP and incorporating the twist of adding kraft to my project.  As Valentine's Day is fast approaching, I thought I would make a card for the occasion.

Tp create my card, I printed the image on white CS, and coloured using alcohol markers and a white gel pen.  I prepared a kraft background by adding four strips of washi tape and affixed the image onto that.  The sentiment is my own, that I printed onto a light shade of kraft, and cut into the shape of a tag, though which I added some red satin ribbon.  I added red gems ad the embellishments.  Here is a better look at the image:

I look forward to seeing your entries into our challenge this week.

DIGISTAMPS 4 JOY :: NEW RELEASES :: MY FIRST PARTY DRESS

I am back again to show you one of the new releases in the DIGISTAMPS 4 JOY store today.  This image is called "My First Party Dress" and it is one of my own drawings as a digistamp for the store.  I printed the image onto white CS, and cut it out using a die.

The main part of the dress is floral DP paper pieced and shaded using Copics.  The bow and frills on the dress have been coloured with with Copics, and a white gel pen for the highlights.

Here is a better view of the image :

To make my card I used the recipe from the CDAC Easy as 1-2-3 Challenge where the following recipe needs to be followed:
1 flower
2 DP's
3 pieces of bling

I created a tag with a Happy Birthday sentiment for a 1 year old so that I can enter my card into The Outlawz Friday Challenge where a card for a milestone birthday is called for.

I used the following items to make up my card:

pink CS card base
gingham check DP background punched along the bottom using a MS punch
little sequins and beads sewn on around the diecut
"Card Candi" legless brad in the top right hand corner
pink satin ribbon bow

BUGABOO STAMPS' THIRD BIRTHDAY BASH :: THURSDAY CHALLENGE

BUGABOO STAMPS' THIRD BIRTHDAY BASH :: THURSDAY CHALLENGE
BUGABOO STAMPS' THIRD BIRTHDAY BASH :: THURSDAY CHALLENGE
BUGABOO STAMPS' THIRD BIRTHDAY BASH :: THURSDAY CHALLENGE

Try saying that, very fast, three times in a row!!!

I know I can't!

Well, today being Thursday, we have another challenge in our week-long celebrations!   Today in honor of our Birthday Theme we decide to do a masculine theme and this is my inspiration for you:

My card features the Bugaboo image Guy - Surf that I coloured using alcohol markers and a white gel pen.  His sunglasses have been given the Glossy Accents treatment, and the waves lapping at his feet have been covered in Stickles.

I used stick-ons for the sentiment and "21".  The background is from a free image I found on the internet.
I made this card for a friend who needed a 21st birthday card for a young man who is celebrating his 21st birthday with an Hawaiian- themed party.  It's simply the perfect theme for a party in Durban at this time of year - phew, is it hot and humid here at the moment!

I hope you are able to join us for the last few two days of our challenges!

I would like to add this card to the following challenges:
FOR YOUR INSPIRATION, #38, I translated the colour of the trees into the colour of the sky on my card
CRAFTING BY DESIGNS, USE ALCOHOL MARKERS (I used Copics and Spectrum Noir)
