Hello! My name is Shawne, I am an Illustrator. I love art in many forms. There is always something new to learn and experiment with. Card making is perfect with many different mediums and that is how I got hooked! Here is my card for this week:
The image this week is from the Stamp and Create Store, and I coloured her using coloured pencils and OMS. I then cut out the image and matted onto various offcuts of printed, plain, batik, embossed and metallic cardstock, and sewed on the little sequin flowers. The rhinestones were stuck on using silicone adhesive.

GETTING STITCHED UP ... on A Day for Daisies!...
Double the excitement this week at A Day for Daisies ... New images released and the start of a new challenge.

It's that time of year in the Northern Hemisphere - snow is melting (hopefully!), flowers are blooming and kiddies everywhere are preparing for a visit from the Easter Bunny! Tammy's new release is full of gorgeous images depicting flowers, chicks, bunnies and eggs... isn't it fabulous? Don't you want them all! You can find them in the shop, by visiting here.
We begin a new challenge today, ADFD Challenge #15 - "In Stitches"! Now here's a chance to dust off that old sewing needle and show us your skills! Add stitches to your creation. For those who don't own a needle (or care to dust it off!) we've seen some pretty impressive faux stitching and fantastic rub-ons and stamps, so you can fudge a little - LOL!
Here's a card I made with one of the new releases, with some REAL stitching - those little beads and sequins as flowers were stitched on using bright orange thread. Now how simple is that?!
Why now visit the challenge post by clicking here to see what it's all about? We'd love you to use a ADFD image, and to help you, there is even a freebie for you to use. This is a card that I made using that very freebie ....

ta- daaaaa....Yes, I have another announcement - I am the Guest Designer for Shelly's Images this week!
My card, featuring the cute lamb image from Shelly's online store, was coloured using my coloured pencils and OMS. Doesn't that cute lamb have just the most innocent look in its eyes - I love it! I decided to use pretty spring colours for the floral embellishments and the shades of blue for the background papers with the farmyard scene.

Here is this week's Sketch and my creation using it
My card features the images, Flying Birds and Floral Bead Flourishes Corner, available from the Priscillastyles store (see links below). I coloured the birds using my coloured pencils and OMS, and cut each one individually. Using foam doubled sided tape, I added them to the Foral Bead Flourishes Corner, which I beaded and added some flower sequins. The floral spray in the corner as the embellishment has some fluffy feathers, to add to the bird theme. The square gems (from my stash)and the white embossed background complete the sketch.

I have an announcement …
I am now a member of Nettie G’s Design Team, and today is my first posting using the beautiful Dogrose that Nettie drew, for the latest challenge.
I coloured my image using my colour pencils and OMS, and added a hand-drawn frame. I used a variety of my paper offcuts to mat onto. As embellishments I used three flatback pearls and a white satin ribbon bow.

DIGITAMPS 4 JOY CAS CHALLENGE
I have an announcement .....
I am the new Co-ordinator for the Digistamps 4 Joy Design Team, and part of my duties will be to make the challengews exciting and rewarding, both for the Design Team and the entrants.
The new challenge that started today is a CAS challenge .... CLEAN AND SIMPLE... and this is the card that I have made for your inspiration ...
I have used the image "Geese Astray" from the Digistamp 4 Joy store HERE and printed the image and the sentiment directly on the card. I kept the embellishments to an absolute minimum: only a strip of coloured card with a stick-on border.
So as you can see - it's a matter of KISS - keep it simple sistah
