Here is this week's Sketch and our my creations:
First, the 3D creation using Petaloo “Color Me Crazy” Products:
I made an ALTERED CLOCK, by dismantling an old kitchen clock with a really cheesy image on the face. I recovered the face with the printed numbers scrapbooking paper, and then used self-adhesive “Color Me Crazy” alphabet stickers to create the words around the edge. The letters were coloured using Copics “Coral” and “Lipstick Red” and shaded towards the bottom using Copics “Putty”. Then I reassembled the clock and hey presto – It works! I think it looks much better now than before!
The card I made uses an image from D’Amour Allure, that I coloured using Copics and embellished with flowers from their store, to turn it into a vintage wedding card. I call these my ‘story’ cards, as here is always so much going on, on them, and each little embellishment and detail adds to the story the card is telling. The extra’s on the card are :
Oval die cut – Nellie’s Choice Dies
Black swirls die cuts – Marianne’s Choice
Sequins and beads sewn around oval and on veil
Veil – some obscure plastic netting I ripped off a hat
Self-adhesive lace – made in China, purchased at thrift store
Strings of pearls – from my bellydance costume making stash
Pink printed background paper – made using a clear stamp
Now if you’d like to get a chance to win some of those awesome prizes from our generous sponsors, you’d better get creating! ……… (this sketch is a real easy one this week!)
