A CAS BIRTHDAY CARD

The challenge over at The Outlawz today is to create a CAS birthday card using 

black, white grey and yellow.

My one layer (excluding gems) card took me 7 mins from start to finish.

Here's what I did

- In MS Word I merged digital paper with a digital sentiment and printed it onto the bottom half of white cardstock.

- Scored down the centre and folded.

- coloured some elements yellow with an alcohol marker

- added some gems

- trimmed to size

DONE!

 Clean + Simple + Quick + Easy ... achievement without fulfillment or satisfaction.  

I wonder of anyone else feels like that about a card they've made?

The challenge theme was Anything Goes, with an optional Christmas Twist, and I used a Bugaboo image, coloured with alcohol markers

To create my card I used various digital elements which I merged with the image, and then sewed on some sequins and beads, and added Stickles and gems.

I also used a blue cs mat and a white cs base.

CHRISTMAS ANGEL

Very often I act before I think, and so it was with this card.

I have had this prick n stitch template for a very long time (received it at a workshop) and never used it.

I created the watercolour background (misting over a  paper doily) and though it would look good as a background for an angel card, so got out my template.  Then I decided I'd like to do some bead embroidery too.... 

a good few hours later, this is how far I got

 wwell, lots and lots of sequins and beads later, it was finished, and well worth the effort, I think.
