Yippee, thanks to the voters I made it to round 3 and for this round we need to make a card, hand doodling, no flowers, no ready made or purchased embellies .... and LOTS OF DOODLING.
This is my entry, a double easel card (one side twisted easel, one side straight easel) :
So here's what I did:
Started with black CS and doodled the base, zebra stripe style, doodled in the white stripes and added quotes by Neslon Mandela in the black stripes:
The main easel part (left hand side) contains the handwritten quote by Nelson Mandela, hand written in white gel pen, with doodling inside the letters of AFRICA
The frame is handmade from grey cardstock, coloured with Copics and a white gel pen
The twisted easel side also has a frame, and black cardstock with a doodled frame, and I shaped wire, with beads into the shape of Africa. In the centre is a guinea fowl feather that i drew and fussy cut.
The 'stop' for the straight easel is a beaded trinket that I made myself:
The 'stop' for the twisted' easel is another of my drawings, this time a guinea fowl, matted onto an offcut of kraft CS, on which I did the faux leather technique:
Thanks for visiting today and reading all the way to the end of the photo-heavy post, hold thumbs that I make it as one of the top 50%, which means I go through to the next round.
