FREEBIE FRIDAY AT BUGABOO STAMPS

Just in time to create some quirky Valentine's Day cards is this week's freebie, Fairy Heart:

I coloured the image using alcohol markers and a white gel pen, and used Stickles on her wings:

As embellishments I placed a silver cord bow in her hair, and there are three metal heart charms handing from the red heart she is carrying.  The sentiment is a peel off.

Thanks for visiting me today.

A CHRISTMAS CARD FOR MY COLLECTION

I am determined to build up a little collection of Christmas cards to avoid any last minute rushed makes at the end of the year.  This card features an image from QKR Stampede

I coloured the image using alcohol markers, and neon gel pens:

The light rays were made by stitching on the metallic gold embroidery thread:

I love the effect the gold thread gives!

Thanks for visiting me today.

AN IMAGELESS CARD

Today I created a card with a sentiment and diecuts only  ( I bought the tag die yesterday and wanted to give it a test-run) :

The is the tag diecut, which I used to cut out the cardstock with the printed sentiment on it:

I used pink gems to embellish.

his is the gem and pearl embellished butterfly diecut

The DP was factory-heat embossed, but I added little flower gems (originally intended for nail art) to embellish the flowers.

I also used a white CS card base, pink CS mats, and silver cord for the tag.

YAY! A FREEBIE FROM NANA VIC!!!

Today, Nana Vic posted a freebie for valentine's day on her Facebook page here

I love her quirky images, and as I got a chance to put my feet up and do some colouring today (t was too hot to do anything else), I made this card:

I used a variety of alcohol markers (Copic/Spectrum Noir/Graph'It) to colour the image:

I created the sentiment in MS Word Art, and added red CS mas, and a satin ribbon and bow.

The freebie is available until 10 February so make sure you grab it while you can!

A CARD FOR ENCOURAGEMENT

I have made a CAS card using a sea theme :

I used a precoloured sea background and overprinted it with an image of a girl (she looked as if she is a little windswept while looking into the distance)

I used a Copic marker to make a shadow on the image of the girl, and a white gel pen for some highlights, and the edges of the card were chalked using powder blue.

The sentiment is digital, and then cut with a circle punch once printed. I also chalked the edges and added a flat backed pearl.

A LITTLE FRIENDSHIP CARD

Ii have made a little friendship card (as an alternative to Valentine's Day) using an image from Melonheadz:

I coloured the image using alcohol markers and a white gel pen:

I made my card according the the recipe at The Outlawz :

1 x CS = red CS
2 x DP = heart and feather DPs
3 x embellishment = lace/ribbon/pearls
and a pinch of something else = chalked edges
