My Love is like a Red Red Rose

O my Luve's like a red, red rose,

That's newly sprung in June:
O my Luve's like the melodie,
That's sweetly play'd in tune.

These beautiful words were written by Robert Burns in 1794, two years before he died, and inspired my CAS card:

The sentiment is computer generated, and the rose image was coloured using alcohol markers.  I added a layer of Glossy Accents.

HUMOR ME WEDNESDAY - WEAR RED DAY

Friday, 6 February is "Wear Red Day" and when I heard that, this well known poem by Jenny Joseph came to mind, so that was the inspiration for my project:

I made a framed picture for my studio, using JJ Polka Dots, coloured using alcohol markers.

A NEW RELEASE - WITH LOVE FROM BUGABOO STAMPS

One of today's new releases in the Bugaboo Store is this little cutie, and you'll find him and the others, in the store HERE.  He's wearing his pink shirt especially for Valentine's Day

I used alcohol markrs for the colouring, as well as a white gel pen and glossy accents on the balloons.

A QUICK AND EASY CAS CARD

The CAS challenge over at The Outlawz today is described as

"One of the Zodiac signs found in the month of February is Pisces ... The sign of the fish! So this week your challenge is to create a CAS card or project with a sea critter as the focal point."

I used a white cs base, and a digital sentiment - a quote from "Finding Nemo" and punched a hole in the front.

On the inside I added two puffy stickers of fish:

The two little 'bubbles' are embellishments that came with the sticker pack.

PINK, RED AND WHITE

This image is from an adult colouring paper search on google.

I coloured using alcohol markers:

I also used:

white cs base
cerise cs mat
sewn on beads in the flower centres:

The bow is made from very narrow satin ribbon.

MONEY/GIFT CARD HOLDER CARD

This diagonal double pocket card is one I made at our monthly Creative Card Guild meeting yesterday.  You can find a tutorial here.

Made from one sheet of A4 cardstock, it cleverly folds into a very lovely card with two pockets.

I added a triangle of embossed cardstock and decorated with peel off strip.  The little gold dots that came out of the strips were used on the embossed triangle.

Three large flat back pearls and a peel off sentiment complete this elegant card.
