BUGABOO STAMPS :: NEW RELEASE TUESDAY

I just love the newly released image from Bugaboo Stamps today, it's called Big Bear Boat, and you can see all today's new releases here.

Here is a card I made using it:

 

I used Copics to colour the image, and a white gel pen for the detailing:

SHOPPING BAG WITH FELT FLOWERS AND BLING

I needed to make a sample project using BLUEBERRY BEAR felt flowers for the upcoming Your Family Creative Crafts Expo from 28 - 30 June 2013 at Emperor's Palace, Gauteng :

I used a ready made black shopper and glued on a variety of felt flowers but when the glue dried the flowers fell off.  So it was onto Plan B : sew them on ... which I did, and then added some rhinestones(the sew on variety of which I have hundreds in all different colours in my stash - for the bellydancers' costumes).  And then I added a few sequins for extra bling :

A bright pink satin bow around onr of the handles seemed to be the perfect finishing touch.

I just love this bag and what fun it will be taking it to thesupermarket (or maybe I will keep it to give as a gift to someone special)!

SHARE A BUG OR TWO AT THE OUTLAWZ

The theme for Sunday's CAS challenge at The  Outlawz :

"It's summertime in the US and that means the bugs are starting to come out in droves!  Think ants on parade at a picnic, bees, spiders, grasshoppers or gnats...whatever bug your heart desires ;)  Any theme or colors you want...as long as it has a bug!"

and this is how I interpreted it (as an Outlawz DT member, I can't actually enter the challenge, but I do like to play along for fun)

 

The digital sentiment was printed onto white cardstock and I then embroidered some ants directly onto the cardstock using beads and black thread.

As it's a CAS card I kept the sole embellishment to a twine wrap only.
